As we entered the crowded festival, we knew that we were in for a wild Saturday. The sounds of Zydeco playfully drifted from the stage as enthusiastic attendees swung and twirled their dance partners to entertain the crowd. But more than music in the air was the pungent smell of crawfish. Families were gathered together, ripping apart their red shelled prizes and enjoying cold beers to take the edge off. It was a remarkable sight to behold. The parking lot that served as the festival's camping ground was hardly recognizable, for it had been transformed into something much more special: the biggest crawfish boil in Austin, Texas.
